The Ladder Of Divine Ascent
Liner Notes
I'm so glad this didn't turn out to be seven minutes long. When I was making it, I felt like it was seven minutes long. And all I really wanted was for it to be the exact right amount of time long. Cool. And, just so I don't forget later, drop D. Credit where credit is due for the title: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Climacus

Lyrics
if you meet me, kill me i will be of no use to you if you seek to fulfill me i may not ever come through
time is time is time is time again just in time that you can begin again
hold on i'm coming hold on i will be there soon hold on
if you want to believe this i will not stand in your way but i just can't concieve this i don't know what else to say
time is time is time is time again just in time that you can begin again
hold on i'm coming hold on i will be there soon hold on
wherever you go there you are
i can tolerate most things but i climbed this ladder too late now the universe is ghosting me i suppose this is my fate
time is time is time is time again just in time for me to begin again
hold on i'm coming hold on i will be there soon

That's my goal with at least a few of these after February is over. Thanks!
I know you say you're glad it didn't turn out to be 7 minutes long, but I wouldn't mind! Fantastic!
I enjoy a lot of stuff that is even longer than seven minutes. Genesis...Yes...Phish (as we have discussed), Tool...etc...but this one...I was just like noooo it's too sappy...nobody wants to hear this. I am taking the spirit of FAWM to heart and posting everything whether or not.
THANKS!
Wow! This so passionate! Powerfull! I looove your hamonies! This is just brilliant! Please let me know when you start your world tour! I will be in the first row!
Thank you!!!
You‘re welcome! It‘s a pleasure to listen!
Love the dynamic plays through this, tonnes of emotion. Feels like a solid rock song that is being performed live and unplugged. Harmonies are super tasty too. I always love a song that brings its main theme in at the very end like you do here, it suits the overall drama you build and ties a ribbon on this very vulnerable lyric. Brilliant work!
After FAWM I plan to take all of these and try to turn them into rock songs. We will see how that works out...
Yet another good song from you. It would be interesting to hear it in a full arrangement!
