#liveinstruments #vibe #Acoustic #Electric #capochallenge This one started as a riff, of course, but then it evolved several times. I thought at one point that it was going to be a western kind of thing.....Then another time I heard it be a super loud crescendo kind of thing.....Well, it turned out how it wanted to be and I'm good with that. I could still see this being altered for use in a different way, but I'm happy with this demo. I think that it has plenty to work with. I ALWAYS have been dissatisfied with my acoustic sound on many occasions, but I think that this is definitely passable. I have thought several times that I should be using this one microphone, but I forget or try to use something new. I also was in the basement and "found" another acoustic and decided to use it. It is one of those Yamaha F-110s that so many people rave about. I do like it a lot but haven't been using it in a few years. Well, it still is good with that particular mic. The song title has to do with the concept that sometimes the best that we can do is a tolerable level of dischord in our lives. The struggles, challenges, and difficulties cannot be avoided, but they can be tolerable--thus allowing us to feel AND function. I am kind of at that place right now. I have some challenges that I cannot control, so I just have to maintain for now. However, those who I work with are really falling apart and it is difficult to be around THEM--much more challenging because they are not coping well. Anyway, I played my Yamaha F110 acoustic, A Firefly 335 through a Vox AC15, Sterling musicman bass, drums, and percussion. I also used a Dreadbox Typhon synth, which I haven't used enough. It is awesome....

Mellow relaxing sounds settling in like a fog over the lake in an early morning fishing trip
Very cool track right here Rob. What a vibe, love the changes and the setting it conjures up. I love the way the acoustic and the bass weave around one another. Very original and interesting. Great tune!
i agree, tolerable is sometimes the best you can do. and when you get to the place where you can tolerate the things that are chipping away at you..you are doing fine, keeping your head above the water. i enjoyed the relaxed nature of this predominantly guitar piece. the repetitions put me into a meditative state that took the edge of things that under other conditions might have been intolerable.
Nice playing - it stciks in your head and the parts all come together well! The more i listened the more each bit impressed me. Guitar first , them i thought the synth was a star, then the bass really lifted and then the drums, then they became one . very nice
I quite enjoyed this - that synth is so, so nice soaring up there. I like the ponderous and wondering progression, I’m imagining someone reflecting and this is the sounds of the wheels turning in the head. You have some “discordance” here at times, yes, but it also resolves every time in a hopeful way. Great listen!
Very nice indeed. The vers bits have a western feel, but not overly so. The drums and electric bits when they kick in are really cool! Agree that you’ve got a great acoustic sound. Very cool.
Love how the bass really grounds this. Felt Acetone adjacent. Glad you included the drums and distortion accents.
