I probably should have ended this after the first verse, but the music snob in me couldn't resist the urge to take a poke at Loverboy (showing my age!) and bring everything to its illogical ending.

Lyrics

William Way was the living embodiment of the saying "Where there's a will there's a way" and so, one day, Will Way spent the day building a bridge from Sunday to Monday to extend the weekend by a day cos he didn't like Mondays and he didn't want to shoot anybody like that girl Bob Geldof sang about in 1979

Will liked to sing and so he sang "Working for the Weekend" by that guy in the red headband and his band of Canadians: Loverboy and Mike Reno and boy oh boy, you know they really sucked and so despite his power Will Way had bad taste in music and that's a shame, isn't it? cos it negates his other accomplishments

William Way added a day to the weekend William Way, that's the way

fabulous instrumentations; you continue to do music/poetry at such an effective intersection

I loved that Boomtown Rats song! And I admit that I like Loverboy. Good for William Way! And I dig the hypnotic bounce of this one. Inspired!

After your recent all out rock experiment, you've switched gears again with this delightful semi-symphonic-esque turn! It's great hearing your style exported to different styles. Fun narration, and fun track!

Ha love all the references - nice slap at loverboy. Different again but very entertaining

Clever! I really like this spares instrumentation as you know! Good story, too! Was Geldorfs song really in 1979?! Feeling old now 😞

Im glad you didnt stop after the first firse, and leave us withthat extra day in the week....loverboy has been due a takedown for a long time and you finally gave it to them. imagine if we coould ge rid of all that time between working for the weeknd and the present, remove all traces of loverboy from that time perios, then put the time back withoutt he band, the song, and the singer.

Great way to run with a concept of a three or four day work week. The intersection of ideas is fun.

Great job. We all wish for another weekend day. Unless of course you work weekends.

Ah, Loverboy, a "great" Canadian band. Great Bob Geldof reference, too. Nice idea, building a bridge to expand the weekend. Hahaha yeah, these lyrics are great! I like how his bad music taste negates his awesome achievement.
