Lyrics

You were simply born out of time In the age when reason rhymed Everything was gonna be just fine You were born out of time

A shining beacon in the darkest sea The heartfelt words of a silent plea A guide for sailors seeking land Today it’s hard to understand

You were always misunderstood Since the earliest days of childhood You had a purpose but you lacked the will Late at night I still think of you

You were simply born out of time When society hadn’t yet declined Everything was going to be just fine Till people went beyond the lines

Born out of time Born out of time

Love this and would love to know who the focus of this song is about. Love the haunting and lilting melodic line.

Beautiful writing. Beautiful delivery, too. Heartbreaking stuff.

Gorgeous song. I am glad I was born in the time I was born. It was a time of change, a time of hope and struggles for human rights, equality, etc. Now I am sorry for my 27 year old daughter. She would have loved to have been born any other time than this hate and violence filled period that is fast turning the clocks back to when there were Aristocrats (today Billionaires) and peasants ( today the rest of us) and the former ensured that the latter lived in penury.

How do you crank out these quality songs so fast? Lovely guitar and voice, and nuanced lyrics. You are a machine!

Nice tones, excellent vocal delivery and I really enjoyed your lyrics on this one take. Well done!
