Another sappy love song. My goal was to annoy my partner with them, but she keeps wanting more. Guess I gotta spoil her.

I wasn't happy with the piano in it, so I took the recording down a full octave in order for it to have that kinda fraying, lofi quality to it.

Lyrics

Verse 1: Remember the pastel colours In your bedroom, Or the shading of the world When we were kids?

Technicolour footage Of a hazy recollection That captured all the moments That we know we never had, And never did.

We lived between the lines In every silence, Afraid to see the things We couldn't see.

Tangled up in Ego and an Immaturity

That bitter tongues Collected, Course-corrected, Bit the pills, And went to sleep.

Verse 2: I woke up In your bed Still beside you,

Twisting up The truth Inside my head

To something That was lesser Than my Fingers on your skin.

When seeing is believing, But believing Is the hardest part To get to.

I never understood How you Could love me,

But I promise I will earn it Every day,

And every time I falter I'll remember All the ways

I could have called And woke you up And told you all The times I Wish I could have stayed.

I don't wanna go. I wish that I could Stay.

Chorus: Frame the photographs On the closet walls To keep you (To keep you)

Closer to the part Of me that chooses To believe you (To believe you)

When you say that you feel Safe to be The person That you really are,

When I hold you In my arms Like you're enough.

Hold onto every word, Cuz now I'll never have To leave you. (To leave you)

You know that I will Stay.

Wow! Where to start… the unintentional lo-fi keys is perfect for the mood, I quite like that sound. The octave doubled vocals adds some nice energy as does the driving bass when it appears. I like the vocal echoes off in the distance towards the end and then when they cut out and the bass keeps pulsing like a heart… chefs kiss. Great listen

I love this one. The first section of the song is like if Bright Eyes and Bon Iver had a baby, and then it just keeps building and evolving. Your harmonies later in the song are epic! Really digging how you create sound scapes with vocals.

Really good. Reminds me of some of the best mid-2000s indie bands. I love the processing on the vocal, hits the perfect spot. Great dynamics between the different parts, and I like the sparseness of the arrangement. Very well made, will have to check out your entire project some day soon!

The piano is so beautiful <3 Keep spoiling her!! This is a gorgeous song, in every part of it. I love the grounding in color in the first verse, so evocative. “When seeing is believing, But believing Is the hardest part To get to” hits really hard. You capture the happy-sad of finding love but struggling to accept it so well. The echo on the chorus is a really cool effect! Stunning work!!!

this is incredible. I love the duality of the vocals, both the relaxed and the more desperate sounding overdubbed. The low piano really grounds it as it moves along. The delicate beginning and how it opens to the poppy part is absolutely seamless. what a journey!

The song evolves and it's very pleasant, like a landscape rolling by. I love the two voices in stereo. The atmosphere is very catchy, and the kick drum driving the beat keeps the song moving. Beautiful production!
