Magnolia Tree

Liner Notes
The magnolia tree in my backyard is starting to bloom - and its very tranquil in the bit of rain we're having today in Oakland, CA. Here's a little love song inspired by it.
Lyrics
You spoiled me Unbowed affection Given for free Under the magnolia tree
Don't keep me waiting so long With the flowers and I you belong
Returned to thee You’ve got me forever And ever you see Under the magnolia tree
Don’t keep me waiting so long With the flowers and I you belong

Thanks @jamesstaubes !
I lived in the Bay Area for a bit 2009-2012 (most of the rest of my life in the Midwest) and it always struck me how things bloomed there in the Bay all year round. It did make me lose sense of what time of the year it was because the seasonal cues were so different! I can picture those magnolias with this song. I like the guitar solo, it sounded like blooming of a sort. Nice topic and thanks for taking me down memory lane!
Thanks for the kind words, @wynia Ha, ya we really only have two seasons here - spring and kind of cold rainy fall.
first, jealous that you have a blooming tree right now (coming out from under layers of ice where i live) second, thanks for bringing the tranquil vibes out for us. short, and very sweet
Thanks for the kind words @finfeather ! Ya, winter doesn't last very long here in Oakland, although we've got a big rainstorm coming in. I feel like we could use a little levity right now.
Light and bright, I like how the guitar is hanging out having its own little journey under the melody then drops in for that cool solo and mirrors the voice. This is catchy as!
Thanks @theodamus !
I like how pleasant and upbeat it is. That guitar solo is great, I like the overdrive tone and the delay. I like these lines: Don’t keep me waiting so long -With the flowers and I you belong.
