I was texting with my friend Carrie yesterday and explaining why I had tweaked something in my daily routine to minimize stress. She texted back "Protect Your Peace!" and I knew I had to write that song! There are a million causes I wish I had the bandwidth to champion but I try to remember I am just one human and not lose my mind worrying about all the things outside my circle of control and influence. This song explores that.

Oh yes! What a great groove. Lyrics are amazing. Sung with passion and confidence. "Don't let the haters get to you!" Yes.
root out evil seed by seed -what a great visual. I always picture pulling weeds out once they're grown. Why not start with the seeds! Before it gets dug in and growing and thus producing more seeds, nice!

Love the attitude and feel, feels like long lost Destiny's Child demo. The rhythmic punch of "protect ya piece" works really well. Righteous fun.

Just what I needed to hear this morning - thank you! The line “you’re not doing any good if you’re paralyzed “ jumped out at me. It could be a scolding or depressing line, though you’ve put a cool groove to it so I’m dancing and feeling inspired.

This is so tuneful, so groovy, while also having such an important message about not losing one's own self in these times when its so easy to do so. It's hard for a song to work so well on both a message and a music level, but this one absolutely does!

Great groove here, it sits really well in the pocket. I was bopping along in my office, which isn't common. Third verse is a great lyric. Really cool tune here!
