Liner Notes

I keep trying to write a song a year about my wife's and I's history...... here's another attempt #cowboychords #country

Lyrics

(Pick) Hello Girl whatdaya doing out there on the western plains I’ve got a little farm where I raise some grain Why don’t you come north and take my name

Hello Girl I can plainly see that you don’t like the snow let’s see this country and all it has to show Whaddaya say we just buy a van and go

Chorus You took a chance on an old fool like me You showed me how good our new life can be and I don’t ever want to let you go You should know

Hello Girl What am I doing out here on the western plains Our plans burned out like fire and gasoline but there’s a lot of hope in those fading flames

Chorus

You took a chance on an old fool like me You showed me how good our new life can be We’ll start all over and build our life oncemore we’re gonna soar

yeah and I wouldn’t want it any other way Right here with you is where I want to Stay We’ll do our best and give this new life a whirl

....so I can say..... Hello girl

Ah. So sweet! I love to write songs to love of my life too. This was something I can hear you singin to her when you’ve parked the van you sang about, and just before going back in to sleep you pull this song out.

Lovely, great job!

What a sweet song, I love it!! Your voice sounds great and fits really well with the song’s whole vibe. Makes me want to try writing something for my partner 😅

Awe I love this. I'm from the plains originally (grew up in North and South Dakota) so I have a very good picture in my head of how this setting might have looked. The words are sweet and humble and loving and utterly focused on your amazing luck to have her. I hope she enjoys it :)

ooh this is good, you have such good depth to your voice. i love however you recorded/produced it, the subtle reverb, it makes the entire song sound more spacious. the lyrics are really sweet too. nice job!
