I have always been I will always be Lucky loser always failing up and falling down stuck in my skin lost in thought try and flip around that little frown and wear a smile like a mask so no one asks and no one tells and they all buy what i try and sell but behind my eyes is all the time I’m not getting back and all the lies i craft a flimsy house of cards where the foundations cracked i never think i just react and numb myself and wonder who we really are and why the only way through is under ripped apart and torn asunder you see the lightning before you hear the thunder I take a loss and then I just take another

I like this woman trying to lift the spirits of her man with his low self esteem. Women are good creatures and selfless and it's advisable to have one around I think

Holy smokes, this is gorgeous and great. One thing for sure is that when/if Alyssa comes through your speakers, there is no mistaking who's singing. What she does here and the way it's recorded and mixed is just sublime. I seldom find myself digging stuff with a rap component, but when I do, it's like this where the rap is juxtaposed against a melodic section to give a brilliant contrast. And these lyrics really deliver some hard truths along with some glimpses of daylight.

This is terrific. The opening/chorus has a The Format vibe to it. A really beautiful pop song and I agree with others. Nothing wrong with the production. The beats and bass are particularly good and support the melody lines. Great work!

Great groove and a powerful chorus ("And the walls around you quake When you smile" !!) The textures are deep - love that break before the final rap verse

Ya'll continue to rock my socks off. The way you sing "shine, eyes, smile..." ugh, I feel the power of the llama! Also, the rapping verse is just perfectly placed in the arrangement, gosh darnit, I freaking love this.

It just clicked - this project reminds me of Postal Service. But wait! I mean that as a frame of reference, not a comparison. I find the hip-hop influence and emotionality of the vocals here to be a really fresh take on the indie-rocker/producer collab. Really enjoying this stuff. Feels so honest and real.

This is such a vibe (is that how the kids say it?). Anyway, love Alyssa's doubled/harmonised vocal. The chorus is poptastic. And what works particularly well is the interplay between the sentiments in your two respective parts. Another top song for a future album perhaps...

Remember we don't know what you were trying to do so we don't see where you thought things would go! for me its sure seems different but it really works -great vox and a solid back end ( if you'll pardon the phrase) nice swap between the 3 vocals - that really works !!

this isnt bad, its just unexpected. lost of cool stuff going on but the tone is softer than usual. its not bad. you are stretching out into some neighborhoods where we havent seen you before. i like the change of pace. switching out from hilariously fast thinking wisdom to relaxed sweetness. we all have our nice days.

Loving the drag on that snare. This is very sweet, you can't help but smile. The mix sounds great to me. And the vocal performances are evocative and just nail the vibe. Another great one for the collection.

Fantastic song. There is a lovely flow to the vocal/lyrics. I’m giving you credit for the rap section - something that doesn’t happen often from me! You mention Casios. Casio has a place deep in my heart. Well done.

Thanks kind. My Casio sk-1 (ran through some pedals) did most of the drums, and all they keys on this. I love that awesome/awful little keyboard it’s wonderful

i love this :) I love the quake line... i love the rhythm of the verses. nice rap section, love the sweepy synth lines. lovely anthemic and easy going and sunny
