What a jam. You nailed the 70s rock ballad sound for sure! Love the slow build and that fantastic guitar solo. Some great lines in the lyrics as well, especially the chorus. Did a double take when I scrolled down and saw comments about the song being seven minutes--it didn't feel that long to me either!

loving all the little acoustic candy (like reverse cymbal swells? and little guitar feedback niblets). way to drop a beat 2 minutes in. in fact, the way the whole thing builds in a very natural way… i was worried when i saw 7 minutes at the start, but it’s a vibe for that whole time. loving the chord changes, too… and the vocalizations are perfect for the instrumentation. nice!

This did not feel like 7 minutes. Very nice...I like how you resolve to "so cold". It's moody as hell. I love it.

Love the production on this! You and @alphagal created such an atmosphere. The wind and sleet falling textures in the background really had me feeling the cold, despite the 80 degree temps in TX today. The tone shift at 5:18 felt like the sun coming through the clouds.

This sounds so good! The first thing I heard was the acoustic sound and thought "I want that acoustic sound!" But then the drums came in and sounded huge! Really great job. Also, I don't get many 7 minute songs anymore 😄

I have to say, that acoustic sound is 95% the Taylor! It never goes in its box, never goes outta tune, and never needs new strings (well, that's on me - it'd prolly help). The other 5% is a matched pair of NT5s. Thanks for the compliment!

Fantastic lyrics and production, as usual. I feel like this is the kind of song I’d put on and just have a good cry to. Like a long needed cry. It’s like a warm blanket of sadness.

I really like the guitar and vocals, such a great match :) it really had my attention, then some more after the drums came in, really enjoy those! A great listen , nice job !
