Hemovore
Liner Notes
Part of ENTOMOLOGICON, my Experimental Progressive #Metal project exploring Insects and other bugs through sound sampling, exotic instruments, unusual time signatures, and atypical vocal styles.
This NWOBHM style #Heavy metal, #rock adjacent song is about mosquitos and how just unbelievably annoying they are. My vocals are a little annoying in this one too but I guess that's on theme lol.

Lyrics
A silent siphon pierces skin A sanguiphagic pain Saliva floods to numb within My blood escapes my veins.
The blister forms, a red remains, My fingernails dig in to break, A single taste, I am forsaken, To miss the vitae that's been taken.
Damn you, Hemovore. You keep taking more, more, more. Leave me, crimson swords, So how much must I endure?
A parasite upon my arm With it's vampiric aim With every bite and buzz and apathetic harm, It drives me insane.
The blister forms, a red remains, My fingernails dig in to break, A single taste, I am forsaken, To miss the vitae that's been taken.
Damn you, Hemovore. You keep taking more, more, more. Leave me, crimson swords, So how much must I endure?

If you got a band together you could definitely take this on the road
I do have a band!... just not for this music hehe. We're called Sliimo, we're a Cosmic PsycheDoom group. I do Lead Guitar and songwriting. If you like this kinda stuff, it's worth a look!
Linking vampires and mosquitoes is a great combo, brilliant heavy track and for some songs just the title really grabs me… hemovore
Not gonna lie; I winced when I realised that noise was a mosquito! The rest of the track makes up for that rather admirably, though. And who doesn't like a bunch of lyrics that include such gems as "hemovore" and "vitae"?
Thank you! I've been playing a lot of Vampire; The Masquerade lol.
A ladybug impostor dropped onto me just as I started to listen. Maybe it knew. I like the frenetic feel. And the way the harmonies are a little like the buzzing drone of the mosquito (is it true the male ones buzz and the females bite). Crimson swords is a nice visual for the bloody mosquito saber.
It's true that only females bite, but both males and females buzz; it's just their wingbeats. Most mosquito buzzing people hear is females, since males often don't approach humans!
See, here, we offer Metal with a side of Entomology Education lol
Ooh, this has a great pace to it! The style is right up my street and feels like something I would have heard back when I was first getting into metal back in the early 2000s. Good job!
