beebeesmith says: The music and lyrical melody was written by myself along with a smattering of lyrics and a lot of humming to demonstrate a lyrical melody idea. I then sent the whole recording to @greengrassgirl who is a master lyricist and she did her normal magic. As I can not sing to a level that I would impose on others I recreated my vocal by singing @greengrassgirl lyrics into an Ai program and then edited the now female vocal by removing artefacts and blemishes as best that I could in Logic Pro. DAW. As Ai is increasingly a part of our lives I tried out one of the many software programs to make an accompanying video. I am a firm believer that an accompanying visual illustration to a song enhances and emphasises the listening pleasure and so here we are as amateurs able to add that element at a standard that is at least now presentable but far from perfect. . 😂 Hope that you enjoy and approve.

Just lovely, The repetition of “I know a little bit” is really effective and feels grounded and intimate. The melody and piano create such a calm, steady emotional space. I'm curious what program you used for the video.

Hi , the program is Neural Frames a German company. It seemed to offer what I required compared to others but it was all sort of alien so there could be better options. Please advise if you research and find something else to consider. Good luck. Beebee

Beautiful lyrics. Such a great classic love song. There is definitely part of me that's wanting to hear the original vocal, warts and all... there's something much more visceral and moving about human voices.

Hi, I understand what you are saying as the Ai vocal is so pure, on the line with every note and a human voice can’t actually achieve that, close but still off, so that is what we are used to, we embrace those human imperfections as the norm. I guess some people have a greater tolerance of certain imperfections but I just cannot gain any satisfaction, any listening pleasure when confronted with a vocal which is bland, tuneless, lifeless and potentially not within the normal acceptable limits of a tuneful vocal. The above describes my vocal, so no sorry I could not, will not inflict on others which I must endure for myself, ha ha

Thanks, Dani. So glad you appreciated our song. You're right that an AI vocal is often has a slightly different character than the human voice. I suppose that will change in time as it gets even better at learning from all of us. It's an interesting era we live in. Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment.

I like the hypnotic repetition of ‘I know a little bit’ and how you test different aspects of the relationship - lovely sentiments throughout this lyric. The melody settles really well with the words - really nice write

Perfectly legitimate use of AI for vocals, in my opinion. As my voice fades, I'm looking into programs that might help duplicate it one day--Audimee, for instance. Great lyrics, great composition--really nice collaboration! ❤️

wow- very moving song. Had me at the first line. I love the lyrics and the melody. Hard to believe those were written by two different people. I have mixed feelings about the ai but it does certainly kick it up a notch having great vocals and visuals. Hoping if you decided to record it, that you would still hire a human to sing about human emotions. But this works very well as a demo.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to have a listen and comment. Very rewarding considering how deeply any Ai content can be received and rejected. I can’t sing so up until now hired a vocalist, I haven’t saved much cash though as I have now invested in Ai video content, worth it I thought. Thanks again from myself and @greengrassgirl 👍

Such a pretty melody, and some lovely lyrics to match! I love the use of repetition throughout the song of "I know a little bit / about our love/life/hearts", all culminating in what our hearts know as "home". Great collab!

Hello, it's such an interesting way to work that has resulted in a very beautiful song. I'l continue to drop by to follow your FAWM journey and to hear new compositions. Hi Jeff, thank you for your kind comments they always have the feeling of sincerity. I will empathise the melodies and music are human but to be fair from the music side the Ai vocal made the song. The lyrics are a separate entity and as usual @greengrassgirl just waves her wand and they sort of appear by magic.

Really appreciate this use of AI. Collaborative as opposed to "cop-out." At least you modeled the melody with your own voice. At that point it's like selling a song to a singer and them singing it. Was an enjoyable video to watch as well. At first I though, "How did they record a music video already?" :) Some really special moments in this song.

I wrote the lyrics to Beebee’s music and it affected me so much, the words just flowedl Like you, I was impresed by the music video. Something like that is way above my pay grade, but he seems to think it’s rather easy. :)

These lyrics are so touching. This is such a beautiful song about an enduring love with a history, and tying that to the concept of being home to each other is so lovely. I love melody of the verses - the perfect marriage of words and melody to my ears. The space between "a little bit" and "love" adds a tiny bit of tension - waiting for what is known. Nice collab - and great to see you back Patty!!
