This is based on a real incident in which I battled with my winter coat for 15 minutes in a hotel lobby in Japan. That zipper wouldn't give!

Lyrics

My shoes are trying to trip me up as I fall over my feet my winter coat is trying to kill me cos it won't let me pull the zipper down pull the zipper down and it's suffocating and I'm overheating inside this bulky gray thing

My glasses are hiding snickering over the irony of me looking blindly for something that helps me see

My fist punches me in the face and I ask, "What'd you do that for?" my belt is slipping off my waist and giving me a taste of its leather might why? for stretching it too tight with gluttony and overeating

My razor nearly slit my throat and choked me with the cord the soap purposely burned my eyes and I'm not surprised cos they're all against me they're all against me

Great every day stories made into a song. It's a nice reminder that those things can always happen, and why not write about them? I like the organ and the persistent percussion.

Never trust a zipper in Japan - not that they pay nice anywhere. The bass smashes you in the face not your fist. I listen and enjoy as paranoia slowly grows!

Don't know what's worse - fighting with your coat zipper in Japan or sweating to death in the worst humidity ever (worse than Florida) in Hong Kong. Love how you used your experience to create this cool song. Great beat - headphones on - dancing in my chair. I'm 2 notes away from singing along - lol!

everything is turning against this guy. zippers are the sneakiest, most rebellious and vindictive clothing accoutrements of them all. i cant even sountt he times they nearly circumsised me in youth. and you end with two of the evilist bathroom denizens..the razor and the soap.

Coming here from the collab that I listened to, this is not what I thought it was going to be. And I am pleasantly surprised. I am a huge fan of songs that lead with bass. OMG and then those keys came in toward the end and that was a blast. Love the concept of the lyrics, about such a mundane thing...one time I wrote some lyrics about not being able to find a good parking space at the grocery store.
