Challenge: MADE-UP WORDSLiner Notes
quite a few time sigs (21/16, 19/16, 7/4...), custom tempering of 12TET diminished scale via 28TET, made in SunVox
i'm not too fond of this one, it has potential but i'd really rather work on something else
#electronic #fawmtronica #idm... maybe #thrash #metal?

thanks! i've had some practice so all that is fairly quick to do
I'm a big fan of mind/speaker bending electronica, and this has bent me completely out of shape. I always admire someone coming at it with a music theory brain too.
heck yeah, crazy sound design and crazy composition together really elevate any song
Sounds good here. Nice work on the various time signatures. Great!
thanks!
Ahhh yes give me more of this! Giving me a proper breakcore meltdown
thanks! more may be coming
the neuro bass starting at 1:00 unnnghhhh wtf the lead at 1:25 is sick also (reminds me of space laces a bit) dope
thanks!
funny, i originally made that lead for my flip of THE ANTHEM :)
Ah, I love the noise intro. This is all around wonderfully chaotic and harsh track! Has that kind of violent feel to it which I adore. Can also definitely hear the Prodigy comparison mentioned below.
thanks! i wasn't consciously channeling the Prodigy but i can hear it too
Super-punchy snare is perfect here. The potential to do more with this is here. I used to think about The Prodigy's music and how it feels rather contained as a studio recording. However, when I saw a few of those jokers' live performance...mind-numbing! In the good way, mind you. I get that here as well. I understand wanting to move on. Don't leave this one cold, though. Just sayin'.
thanks! i'll definitely revisit this sometime after FAWM...
21/16? Oh, I'm in. Yeah, I can understand the thrash metal tags. In fact, it'd be interesting to hear a version of this done with guitars; I bet it would be even wilder...
thanks! i wonder what a lot of my music would sound like with guitars
Progress is more important than perfection. You can come back to it in March.
This shit is FAST! That little solo arp in the second drop is the business.
thanks! yes, of course i can come back
There's a lot going on here! I usually get hung up for weeks on sound design and alternative tunings, so I'm avoiding them for FAWM, and I'm glad some people can make it work with a deadline.
