Liner Notes

I was ready to post this hours ago but I managed to screw up the timing of everything in my DAW just before I was gonna run off the final mix, so I had to spend ages sorting it out. Fun times.

There are a couple of changes I'll make post-FAWM (like...I don't know...more than one chorus?) and there are quite a few placeholder lines but I'm pretty happy with this one.

i saw the wolf again today he's been following me through the alleyways and the rotten willow trees

out of the corner of my eye i see him move he's marked me as his prey waits in the gloom

the smell of death lingers in my hair, on my clothes never ending winter but I just can't feel the cold

What's the deal with the slow clap? ⬇️ lol okay. I like the effect on the vocal. Like a really short delay or something. It's different from your usual mixes and it works really well here. This has nice dynamics how it goes from dark and minimal to anthemic and back. This is another good example of how I feel your recordings have become more focused, cleaner, more direct songwriting and more powerful as a result.

well this is a fine spook... the soaring vox/harmonies at the end were a pleasant surprise, and love the synthy transition to the outro

Sounds like beach boys melding into the Beatles to me! And of course therefore it’s INCREDIBLE. I would me VERY happy with it if I were you, I got the tinglezzz

this has a really atmospheric beginning which really sets the scene - the vocal ahs are unsettling and together with the lyrics and lead vocal they help to paint a really clear picture of menace here. I really enjoyed this. 😀
