Tell Me What You See

Liner Notes
@needscollab @needsmusic after listening to @stacyswinford 's Salvation Skirmish Bergman Gun and noticing her crow avatar, was inspired to write the following
Lyrics
Tell Me What You See
V I I love your black bird Macy Tell me what you see The roads that you have traveled Bringing you to me
C Quietly, from the wire Waiting watching folks’ desire Hidden from cool friends with fire Tell me what you see
V II Traveling with a murder Flocked up don’t give a hoot But family ties are binding Deeper than most root
B You appeared, folks always feared Wicked’s on it way
Just a reminder Sin’s a binder Like stones on a waders feet
C Quietly, from the wire Waiting watching folks’ desire Hidden from cool friends with fire Tell me what you see, Macy, tell me what you see

I like the bookends of “Macy, tell me what you see.” It made me think of Odin and his crows. The language used is very poetic and evocative.
Gee, I never thought of writing a song based on a murder of crows. Great to see new ideas.
ve known that group of crows was called a murder since seeing a detective movie by that name in the late 90's.. but i didnt put the two together when reading your lyric. now ill read it again again and find out what it is really about.
i could not have predicted where the second verse was going on the basis of the first vere, and that is a good thing. i was expecting alove song, not a murder ballad, dripping with family gothic. loooking forward to hearing what you future collaborater will do wih it.
I love the lyrics, and the cleverness of writing from the standpoint of crows. Great imagery, and the "all flocked up" kind of points to an eventual punk-rock treatment of this.
