Skirmish: Salvation (@deandra)Liner Notes
#collab #needsmusic Wow... I don't know what it is with skirmishes... but it's like an instant "on" to "the channel" Every single time... It's crazy! This was a wonderful prompt, Thanks @deandra
On rereading was wondering if "salvation" should be added to the end of the chorus and sung as a low vol. BG vox almost drawn out legato choir? :-) Hmmm?
Lyrics
Close My Eyes and Breathe
V I Why’s everyday such a battle Is this how life’s run At the end of a barrel On the bottom, just my one
C Close my eyes and breathe Hope that I receive (ahhh, ahhh, ahhh,)
V II Just my one, just a me Justified... never see A leg up on the fence Or ladder, always on defense
What is mine I don't know Which direction I should go
C Close my eyes and breathe Hope that I receive (ahhh, ahhh, Salvation)
V III Through the branches To the top Into the crown That’s when I stop
C Close my eyes and breathe Hope that I receive (salvation)
Bridge Deciduous, born again each season Coniferous, evergreen there’s a reason (is it me, let it be, learn from the wisdom of the tree)
C Close my eyes and breathe Hope that I receive (Salvation)
V IV I’ll let go and fall Into the all, Of salvation It’s all alive a sensation Beyond this seen To the realm of being
Outro Close my eyes and breathe Hope that I receive Salvation, salvation, salvation

Your chorus is worthy of a wall hanging to remind me what to do when it all gets to be too much. Good job.
Love how this progresses from the earth into the "heavens" of the treetops. Such an original take on the prompt. Great work!
"into the crown, thats when I stop" I love that line! Great lyrics! I would love to hear this if you decide to add music to it.
I like the idea of the background "salvation!" I enjoyed reading your liner notes so that I could better imagine the music you're hearing in your mind. All the breath is wonderful.
I love putting “breathe” in the middle of every decision, and then finding value in a universe of possibilities. Well stated!
Thank you for being a part of this skirmish. Great flow to the lyric, soothing. I hope that you add music to it when it works for you!
That bridge is fantastic. This is all beautiful, but the bridge is my favorite part. And yes, something about skirmishes, something about a group doing it together, something just happens. It's like channeling sometimes.
