This was going to be uke and synth, but on a whim, I tried it on #piano. I do not know how to piano. I did it anyway. It was fun. Maybe I should practise more often. (Please don't critique the piano playing. I promise, I know.)

Anyway, this song is essentially pointless except that I have a few songs about planets and didn't have one about Mercury yet.

Bless little Mercury. Nobody has the heart to explain that there's a reason why all the bigger planets take longer, but if someone's having fun and not doing any harm, just leave them alone, eh?

Your piano playing is fine! Better than I do. You made me look up how long it takes for Mercury to orbit the sun while thinking about ankle wings. Really a lovely tune!

Well, you clearly know more piano than I do ;) I've always thought of Merccury as upbeat and somewhat zippy, so these lyrics make me deliciously happy. I'm going to say that if there is a chart for songs about planets, this song will be on it.

This is lovely, and the piano playing is perfect. I think you might have An Inner Critic telling you something else, but it's perfect. You didn't mess up in any way that's noticeable. And the whole concept is sparkly.

gotta have one for the whole universe! At my age i wanna slower race around the sun! yeah i know that wont really work! Clever song, not sure whats wrong with the piano, i thought i could play and this is at least as good as i thought i am.

The piano sounds bloody lovely and I'm glad you decided to go with it because it really works with this song. The song itself is adorable. I've never really wanted to hug a planet before (except maybe poor Pluto when he was demoted) but I want to now.
