n: this mix is a lil' rough but it's good enough to share. quick update on the album, it has been approved for distribution! it drops on 2/28 to all major platforms and vinyl will be available through soundcloud...they cost a little more than i would've liked but you can't alter pricing as they pay for the production. Q has talked about possibly doing a listening party if anyone is interested, let us know. maybe we'll make a forum post? idk. i'll have links for the album, i'm so very proud of it and appreciative of Q sharing her talents and friendship with me. my SK-1 did a lot of heavy lifting here, i sampled the internal drum sounds and programmed them in midi and reinforced em with beatmachine 3 samples programmed in a parallel midi program. then i used my favorite stock patch "human" voice. fun lil' jam that was brought to life by Q.
Q- I am also so very proud of the album, and appreciative of N sharing his talents and friendship with me. And for always letting me vent about my crappy days and poor choices on his awesome tracks đ
Lyrics
I drove my car into a snowbank On my way back home from work And then I screamed into the void I really hope that no one heard x2 But that's really not true If you take a minute Give yourself a breath to really think about For what we go through, Is it really so much To wanna see, and be seen, and still be loved about it Yeah, it's not so bad, been worse Time turns and the truth hurts But on days like this I hate this city, and everybody in it I hate my self, I hate my job I block my ex, and miss my mom I curse my brain, and damn my heart I took more meds And then I fell apart when...
I drove my car into a snow bank On my way back home from work And then I screamed into the void I really hope that no one heard I drove my car into a snow bank On my way back home from work And then I screamed into the void I kinda hope that someone heard
Sweet frostbitten soul I've lost all control... (I drove my car into a snowbank...)

Thanks dude! Itâs my favorite!
It is for sure a lived experience, and i needed somewhere to park my car đ. And thank you!
You two have really grabbed my attention. This is another superb song! I know FAWM is about the writing, but I have to mention the production values here. It sounds so crisp and polished. The arrangement and choice of instruments is just perfect for the story. Listening party? Hell yes!
This works really well kind of has a mid-90s vibe to me at least. I'm driving into a snowbank yeah that's happened a couple of times so relatable. Nice salad groove and great cadence on the vocals.
This sounds great. The vocals really drive the message home and also carry some great intertwining melodies. The late reveal that you really do want someone to hear your scream should make sense to anyone who's ever been frustrated and/or overwhelmed by life. Also, killer backing track. Great work!
I like it lol; kinda like the girl singing about driving her car idk offvthe edge or something i liked lol like this;
What a great chorus, radio friendly, catchy with those BVs too. It really builds. Can almost picture what a music video would look like for this, on rotation on the good old MTV days.
Very relatable lyrics. Itâs always the cherry on top of a terrible day when something like this happens! Musically, youâve got a catchy hook going on, and the harmonies add some nice layers on as it goes
Sweet frostbitten soul, great line. A nice groovy tune
Powerful lyric, really hit me when that chorus comes back after "and then I fell apart when..."
I just love how everything sounds so perfect. You must teach me why my stuff sounds like its been recorded in a lifeless room in a basement in the middle of nowhere indiana.
Y'all have done it again. I LOVE the vocal melodies. Cool beats and samples give it a hip hop spirit that works so well and make the transitions feel natural. Really catchy chorus, that's gonna stick with me. Nice work!
This is so sweet. Bright and cheering, filled with the right vibes to drive moroseness away. Love the shimmery guitar in the chorus. The vocals are wonderful.
I really relate to this. I love the way itâs quite a serious and open set of lyrics, but with the music being impossibly upbeat it makes you ride the emotional line.. and how it switches to âI kinda heard that someone heardâ is cool. My fave song of FAWM 2026 so far!
im getting a graceland vibe off this. there i said it. looking forward to the album and emphatically hope you have a listening party for it.
Looking forward to the album! This is a belter. hmm stinking hot here! Top class production
WOW! This had me dancing around the whole time! Pure awesomeness
1000 thank yous!
Love that progression and layering! And especially love the conversational layout of the vocals.
Appreciate it, gangster!đ«Ą
Getting a Vampire Weekend vibe off this. Man I wish it was snowing here - it's nearly 30c and 97% humidity lol
Itâs been like -13f here. Letâs swap for a couple days. I forget your in NZ right? Actually ya, trade me Iâve wanted to visit there since I was little. Itâs the birthplace of instant coffee and great explorers! And Rhys Darby/the cryptid factor.
Indiana is the birthplace of the klan and axl roseâŠsooooooâŠ.
Fantastic. Vocals are so darn good. Love them. Production too. Great stuff you two. Thoroughly enjoyed listening.
I immediately love the vocals. Really appealing noises all over the place. The dirty little break there is a nice contrast. So good. Reminds me of the times I've driven my car into various snowbanks.
Those snowbanks attacked you!
What!!? Congratulations on getting this album ready to drop. Listening party for sure! As for this tune, mix shmix, this sounds amazing!
Lyrics here are so damn good! That tension between wanting and not wanting to be heard is expertly teased out. Did you really drive into a snowbank, Q? Sounds like lived experience đ . âSweet frostbitten soul / Iâve lost all controlâ is a fantastic couple of lines. The SK-1 sounds awesome here too, youâre the master with it @nahlej381!
