I can definitely improve the phrasing of a lot of these lines in future recordings but for my first “FAWM” song (and one written in less than an hour) I’m relatively proud with this.
Lyrics
Verse: Innovation, moving along And all they’ll show you Is the right not the wrong Putting our lives on a celestial plain And your not allowed To even complain And big mr money He thinks he’s so funny He wants you to believe that he’s one of us He wants to be cunning But he’s just unloving He knows you better Than you know yourself
Chorus Genocide of privacy Everybody says they not that mean Orwell warned us of our future But it’s no use now, it’s getting closer Your mother, your father Grandma, daughter All locked up in the digital age And they can’t even feel their pain
Verse 2: So just keep on running And they’ll all join along On the capitalist treadmill The pain will just go on Your lovers and your hates Your past and your fate Is all in the hands of the ones you hate
Chorus x2

Thanks for the tip, I’ll get on that right now!
Thanks for the lyrics. Hard hitting stuff! "Capitalism, the best imaginable system" Yeah, right! 🤮
This is so cool! Love all the different parts of the arrangement. I wish there were some lyrics laid out, because the ones I heard were great! Really great, discomforting but cool atmosphere you've painted. It's so discordant and quietly menacing! Dig those guitar lines.
The dark and menacing music matches your song. Well done!
"Genocide of privacy" chills!
I love this great groove and vibe. It's dark and it matches the warning of the lyrics perfectly. It's got me stank facing all the way through. I think you got a real winner here.
Ooh I like the feel of this. Great acoustic rap with an atmosphere of foreboding
A word of advice from an "Veteran FAWMer" - it's always a good idea to put your lyrics in the box set out for them.
