Minneapolis Rises! (You Won't Pass)

Liner Notes
I have been wanting to collab with @cindyrella for a while and the first song I looked at got snached up right away. So I decided to adapt this one, which was first out of the gate for her. Hoping you like it, Cindy and thanks for the opportunity. I changed a couple words.
Lyrics
You won't knock us down You can't kill us all It's a unified city, you will fall You won't kill us all
When you hurt one of us It affects the rest You think we're afraid And we'll fail this test And we'll fail this test
Chorus: But you brought water pistols To a snowball fight Don't go to sleep or say goodnight We see it all, we're filming your ass You woke up a sleeping giant You won't pass
Bridge: We'll march till your toes are frozen It's the wrong city that you've chosen
We refuse to break, we won't even bend We have many generations of strong women and men We have carved out our lives We're brave and we're proud Our voices will be heard We are stubborn and loud (chorus to end)

Yep--difficult times, and I've always enjoyed Cindy's take on them. Great collaboration, you two! ❤️
Powerful and highly relevant lyrics from Cindy given the simple, forthright delivery these words needed!
This song was really powerful. The power of that opening chord running into the verses felt so much heavier than a simple acoustic! Lyrically it felt like the verses were delivering the punch and the chorus felt a bit more like a bridge. Great collaboration and a timely message (that will probably defy time like Pete Seeger and still feel relevant in 30 years!)
Wow! You nailed it! Sounds current and timeless! Thank you!!
Thank you also, glad it worked out!
Excellent protest song. Love the bridge. All power to the people.
Excellent collab! Well crafted!
Re: water pistols to a snowball fight (great image) - A Neo Nazi came to town, was supposed to be a big ruckus. Well, there were 6-9 of them and hundreds of Minneapolitans. They attacked him with some water balloons and silly string. Poor thing, he ended up running away. You can't make this stuff up!
