This may be stream of consciousness but they don't NOT make sense. The melody is terrific, your voice expertly soaring anywhere I might want it to go, and I love the groove of rhythm you've created.

Songs are a type of poetry and art. Leaving things up for interpretation is perfectly normal.

I think the message is easy to relate to on an emotional level, and "leaving it for interpretation" works particularly well when the subject of the song includes losing your mind. 😉

That is a tasty guitar riff! counterfeit love is a great title. Can't help to wonder what happened here... the firts verse melody is especially strong in my opinion. That high note at the end is also massive. The dynamic shift into the chorus is also very well done. I think you really have the makings of a massive song here.
