Liner Notes

@dailyprompt by @tcelliott What do you remember about your first job... This was fun... I had done the lawn mower and baby sitting thing but the summer after 8th grade I was a swimming intructor's aide at the local beach and was cut a town check for $11.97. Man, still remember cashing it every week at the corner store! Thanks TC! Great prompt!

Was thinking it would be cool if the chorus sounded like a radio communication LoL!

I can totally envision that type of first job. Not that I ever had that job, however, I've been on the other side of it for my kids and probably when I was a kid too. Hingham Harbor...Cool!

It was fun! Thanks for stopping by to read and comment. I also did a stint as a lifeguard and swimming instructor there. Love being on/near/at the water! :-) How are you doing for snow up there? We got an unexpected 6" yesterday and the impeller belt on the snowblower went - :-o ugh! certainly got plenty shoveling 'reps' in! LMAO!!

really good rhyming in these lyrics. Like the chorus, and yes radio tone for it I agree. Feel like this is a more dance type but not reggae, kind of vibe, a sort of celebration. Love it

Great song. I love songs that tell a story from the past.one that makes you feel like you know what it was like to be there!

Back when $12 felt like a lot of money! Nice trip down memory lane for you and for us!

I like the rhythm, the flow of the lines very much. And it's cool how vivid your memory is but also how it kind of jumpstarted memories of my own first job. Thanks for writing to the daily prompt and sharing!
