Nice treatment of the prompt! I haven't seen the movie, but your line "Reminds him to live so that they can all die" is chilling.

I just started watching The Joker the other day, so this was a good song for me to run across. Haven't finished it yet but I think the lyrics definitely work (yet you don't have to have seen the movie to appreciate this story as possible.

You've done a really fine job with the mix of melody and lyrical rhythm here. I love the repeated section:

This is artful! So glad I found it. I can see the character really clearly. I think it's because you clearly gave the character, "him," a clear interaction with the "you" in the song. That is powerful.

the sparseness is perfect - you really capture the sort of subtle sadness and whimsy of the bizarre world of clowns. It's giving Lisa Ekdahl meets Yann Tiersen. well done.
