In The Middle
Liner Notes
@ghob: Another sketch based on some lyrics @thob has been noodling with for a while.
@thob: I saw a tree, with two branches resting apon each other. I then thought of these words.
Lyrics
Where the branches cross, Answers might be found, Is it holding you up? Or is that pushing you down? There is something in the middle, Of all that it surrounds, In that place. Answers can be found.

I really like this. The vocals feel heavy with emotion, but they spark reflection & contemplation. The sparse instrumentation actually adds to the weight of the words. This is really well done, guys!
See You In The Shadows…
another great one! vocals sit really well, feels very warm and familiar. but the metronome-esque beat in the back is very distant. nice contrast.
Nice one chaps. I like a tree song!
A perfect example of having something to say and taking only the time necessary to say it well.
Love the hypnotizing effect the percussion adds there. Kind of sounds like footsteps in the peaceful soundscape painted by the guitar/vocals.
Ooh, I was in from the metallic footfalls! Cool element.
Oh this is neat! I love the way the different music elements support each other and build into a nice rich sound. I found myself humming along with the tune by the end. A little bit haunting and mysterious, I like it. 😄
Thanks! Definitely feels like something to develop…
Interesting concept and story. The back beat kept that part of my brain interested, as did the vocals. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Doug Dude.
The footsteps (metronome?) work really well as a percussive rhythm to keep this moving along. The big question of the lyric works well against the consistent strum of the guitar.
