Gold Mine
Skirmish: Something about You (@hmstreetteam)Liner Notes
#folkrock I had no idea where I was going, but just took off from the idea of a mysterious glow.
Lyrics
There is something about you No one quite knows who you are I see it in your private jet Even your AI avatar People talk about your eyes They say they are some kind of aqua But it’s more about your aura A glow from your solar plexus chakra
I know what it is To miss it I would have to be blind You grew up In a house on a gold mine
The gold found its way to you Back when you were a girl Now it travels with you Wherever you go in the world It’s just something you sit with A presence that can never be taught But everyone wonders What kind of magic you’ve got
I know what it is To miss it I would have to be blind You grew up In a house on a gold mine
The land where you live a long time Becomes part of you You can go wherever you like But that will always be true And when that land is gold That’s the good kind of luck Everyone who takes a good look Will be thunderstruck
I know what it is To miss it I would have to be blind You grew up In a house on a gold mine
I know what it is To miss it I would have to be blind You grew up In a house on a gold mine

Kudos for rhyming "aqua" with "chakra". I was thinking this song was about an oligarch, but there aren't too many female trillionaires! And the image in my head is that TV commercial for selling your life insurance policy with the miners shouting. Good skirmish entry!
I dig the guitar playing. I like the words too, and the title hook. Enjoyed listening.
