One Last Pair

Liner Notes
Years ago, @erinkelsey3 once wrote a delightful song called "No Bra Day". I feel like this might be its pair. I look forward to the day that I can play/sing it all the way through without messing up the guitar. Today is not that day though! đ At least I didn't wake up the cat? #acoustic #girlwithguitar

Lyrics
There are days you wake up in the morning Didnât do the laundry night before
Choose a T-shirt that will fill your cup and mosey over to the underwear drawer
Empty as the day that you were born But scrunched up in the corner Whatâs that there?
Itâs the one that never feels quite right Itâs not the kind you like that one last pair
--
Leave the house like every other day Try not to pay attention to down there
Canât forget that itâs not feeling right Itâs itchy or itâs tight that one last pair
Every step you put yourself in poses Sure that people notice your dismay
Ask yourself âwhy do I even keep themâ Soon as we get home Throw them awayâ
--
Finally home you tear them off your body Finally do the laundry What comes next?
Think about it, donât think anymore You put them in the drawer with all the rest
For the days you wake in the morning Didnât do the laundry What to wear?
Drawer is empty, scrunched up in the corner Thank god you still have that one last pair

What a great tryptic tribute to that one last pair! Such a delightful and sadly relatable slice of life song! Lovely flow to the melody. Makes me smile and want to adjust down there.
This is absolutely delightful! Not only is it incredibly witty, full of truisms and charmingly performed but believe me, we can all relate...marvellous!
Fabulous song. I don't wear bras but relate nevetheless, keeping as I do, long expired underwear 'just in case'. The lyrics are so wrly amusing and it's such a beautiful tune. When the harmonies come in it made me think how great it would be to hear sung in a folk club.
This suggests an answer to why I have a drawer full of stuff I never wear...maybe someday.
The harmony is great. I like how the sincere presentation elevates the importance of the situation.
Nice kitty!
It's like a kids song, just a bit naughtier! I love it! đ€© The constancy of the vocal melody works so well, as it helps to point at where all this is going... Also, how come cats never get pins & needles sleeping like that? đ€
This has got to be the most beautiful joke song ive ever heard. I was at the same time completely embarrassed and delighted. What an unreal experience. Its not every day you get one of those. Incredible.
Ah, yes! The dilemma of the âbad underwearâ that you hate but end up keeping just in case! This is amusing and brilliant, well done! đ
This is so charming -- love this sound and melody. And when that harmony comes in, wow. This is a great idea really, really well done. BTW, I like your song a lot, but I'm totally in love with your cat.
This is so funny and clever and well performed⊠so tell me why do I wanna cry when hear this? Maybe because your approach to this sounds so sweet and sentimental and heartfelt. I dunno man, itâs so good. Made me feel something! Also, my underwear sure feels good right now.
Only someone as creative as you could turn such a mundane issue into a delightful song! I should go throw out a couple of bras now.
