Liner Notes
One track at the piano and one track walking through my backyard for the length of the piano track. Both recorded on my phone with a Bluetooth mic.
My son showed me a trick on the electric piano where if you push the Function button and two sounds at the same time… it mixes the sounds! Haha. So, this is piano and strings I think.
I posted my first piano instrumental for the first sprint… here is another. @wynia suggested in the comments of that other instrumental that a recording of cicadas and nature would have been great so that gave me the idea to walk through my backyard with the mic for this one. If you listen closely, you can hear bees buzzing on an autumn clematis, footsteps, rustling leaves, crickets, birds and more.

Very nice combination of sounds. I love how the subtle crackling from the garden enrichens the music. Especially at the very end when you hear it solo. I also like the 'jumping around' section with the silences around 1.55, like a little child playing in the garden. In contrast, the very long final chord makes the ending a bit dark and mysterious, as if more is to come. All in all, nice piece.
