Lyrics

You can go to appointments You can cut them short You can trade stocks for money You can trade them for sport

You’ll always end up in the place Where the problems unwind Between the south face of danger And the keen analytic mind

You say it out in the open You can be sharp as a knife You can stand and be counted Or you can run for your life

For years you may wonder What an explorer would find Between the south face of danger And the keen analytic mind

I’m not saying the words that I’m not supposed to say No one knows what those words mean anyway

You can cut down a tree Just to say these are the facts This is what happened When a chain saw ran into an axe

Never again will you say That they are two of a kind Between the south face of danger And the keen analytic mind

I’m not saying the words that I’m not supposed to say No one knows what those words mean anyway

You can go to appointments You can cut them short You can trade stocks for money You can trade them for sport

You’ll always end up in the place Where the problems unwind Between the south face of danger And the keen analytic mind

Some lovely lines in here and I like the flow of the lyrics/singing. Good work

Very interesting lyrics with great perspectives on life, profound and truthful. Really cool song and take on the prompt.

Lyric works great in the McDougall Street folkie delivery. I can imagine a busker or someone at a solo gig in a busy place playing this. Interesting tangent on the skirmish connecting a sharp object to danger and then to financial risk.
