Midnight
Liner Notes
Ah, finally! A song. To my own skirmish even. Music does happen!
(Aaaugh. I can't even get the time to start my own skirmish correct. Apparently, I started an hour early. Well better early than never, I suppose.)
This is just me and my guitar, #acousticonetake I do love midnight.

Great skirmish entry. I wanted to participate last night, but had to be ready for an early-morning meeting. (Which turned out to be a waste of time, but that's another song title!). Lovely vocals and guitar work. And, yeah, let the rules fall asleep every now and then.
You are very welcome to do the skirmish later or to just use the topic as a prompt.
I love this so much, you've captured the joy of unmasking and the melancholy of needing to mask all at once. My personal neurospicy unmasked time is early in the morning rather that late at night, but this is still so resonant. Really gorgeous work!
Better than an hour late! sounds like a great song of freedom - rock on!
I like the idea that rules themself have fallen asleep.
You have painted a beautiful portrait of the freedom to be yourself.
This gives a deliciously dreamy feeling. I love rules that are able to fall asleep and leave us to it. Your strumming delivers such nice nuances and a feeling of air. "Time and space and magic are my friends" is really sweet!
Now about wandering the house nude. You have reminded me of my maternal grandmother. My grandfather was very dominating to all the family - I know through the stories, as I was about 4yo when he died. That left my grandmother in her 50's, to learn to drive a car for the first time, to travel on planes with one of her daughters for the first time, to mow her own little lawn with a power mower; to feel free to do so many things. Years later, she proudly told teenage me which year it was that she finally felt empowered to wander her own home nude!
