Liner Notes

So...it turns out I don't have anywhere the amount of time available as I would like..from a morning gig on the day we started (I usually enjoy making a quick fun meta FAWM tune to "Get on the board" & crack the ice..oh well.) 1st tune comes from my new favorite "tuning" (std, but capo on #7thfret ) This one goes out to the amazing woman I have been with since the 90's - she helped me learn to trust the journey.. But with little time, it is just a #acousticonetake and maybe a #lovesong

Lyrics

For Wendy (Trust The Journey) I don't know where you came from I opened my eyes, and you were there I hope this day can last forever I never want to sleep again

The world, she turns, and she trembles You steady the ground I walk upon Eyes open to the wonder And to the love I've found

You never know where life will lead, You've got to learn to trust the journey You never know where life will lead, You've got to learn to trust the journey, my friends

I don't know where you came from I opened my eyes, and you were there I hope this day can last forever I never want to sleep again

You never know where life will lead, You've got to learn to trust the journey You never know where life will lead, You've got to learn to trust the journey, my friends

This is very sweet. It's easy to relax into and just enjoy your voice and the guitar.

A beautiful love song and I do like a bit of gratitude as well. Nice. Great one take song.

This gives a feeling of comfort and safety. The very thing the thankfulness is being expressed for. I was aware of how satisfying is the space, with strumming, between the first and second verses. On through the song, you allow that space - that feels like "trusting the journey" too. In the guitar, I like hearing the bass string do that little whole-tone scoop-up between the chords sometimes. Walking along!

I could definitely see this in a film soundtrack. The purity of the emotion and rawness of the performance would be a great complement to film montage. Quite lovely.

Nice song, Kosch ... I love the direct expression, the honesty. Simple but truthful. And, well delivered. I also like the 7th fret chords. Gotta start trying those!

This is just lovely! Beautiful sentiment, and the guitar is a perfect compliment. I can almost hear something like Daniel Lanois' treatment on Dylan's "Most of the Time" working here.

I do so, so love a guitar capoed up high. The tone is just beautiful. Perfect sound for these touching lyrics. I great reflection on the phrase, "It’s not the destination, it’s the journey." It's so heartwarming the way you've phrased it. Great flow and emotion.

Such a sweet and yearning groove from the outset - I love how it flows along nice and steady. A beautiful and heartfelt love story in your lyric - made me grateful for the long-term relatationship that I'm in with my wife. I enjoyed listening!

Oh this is both sweet and a little melancholy. Nice guitar groove as the backdrop and you deliver the vocals with lovely emotion. I love the line about never wanting to sleep again. I’ve often wished that sleep weren’t necessary so that we could enjoy more of the limited journey we have. Great job.

The sparkly guitar is such a lovely backing to this heartfelt little love song! Very sweet.
