Started this last song sprint with the suggestion from a friend to sample "Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes" by They Might Be Giants. ended up not finishing it, and only just last night revived it. I think this is a pretty good example of the way I want #lp2 to go. Referencing bits of other songs on the album and making the whole thing fairly interconnected is a big point, as well as writing lyrics I don't hate to help me understand myself better.

Ending + bridge are still quite rough, but that's for the second demo to deal with.

#acoustic for now. will be more conventional #rock / #indierock when it's done

Oh, yeah. This hits me as a manual for how to write a song. And how did I forget about They Might Be Giants, why have I never tried to write a They Might Be Giants song. And yes to capturing that feeling of wanting to do everything all at once. And the doubled vocal that muddies. Big smile at the end.

Some great lyrics on this. I've commended you privately, but allow me to reiterate my respect publicly for "half-unfinished" showing how you're hyperfocusing on the unfinished half instead of looking at what you've already accomplished.

Whoa. Powerful also as acoustic. Just a thought, maybe keep some original acoustic part when you electricute the rest. A verse in the middle or something like that for a little contrast and surprise.

Woah that intro!! I love how rock-y this feels even with the acoustic guitar, its so good. The break off on "fall asleep, I" is so clever! The layering feels like my brain too. Its cool how the verses still line up though, I really like that detail. Love this!!!

Boy can I relate! Piles and piles of half unfinished art! Cool breakdown. This will make a rad rock tune... but this is a great demo to get the idea out! Rad.
