First ever skirmish of the Song Sprints!

Felt poetic.

Lyrics

"Fragments"

How many personalities reside within a single soul beside? Witch, vegan, trans, hell yeah! Delusions of spiritual grandeur.

Personas, names, vibes, tattoos - which is me? Which is not? Worker, consumer, avoider of news - in this poem one thing is a not.

Do you know me to know the lie? Are the truths enough to be real "I"? Can you know my name from dollars and cents? Or are all these things but ephemeral fragments?

Who, what, where, why? If we ignore the "when", is that my eternal "I"? But if a soul shall ever die, what meaning is given to my singular lie?

This was such a great take on the prompt! Really profound questions that I ask myself sometimes as well. The last stanza hits especially hard.

You've really packed a lot of ideas in here and very intriguing they are too! Very nicely done and would be great to hear it with music and melody. Good job!

excellent and thought provoking lyric. addresses a theme that often pre-occupies me. with all of these sometimes conflicting elements of my personalites, who is the real me..or does such a creature really exist?

Some deep thoughts in here, especially as I look at this pre-caffeine! 😀

I like this response to the prompt. Pieces/components are important, but how far can we pick them apart and still be whole?
