Liner Notes

welp I got sick with the flu this week and pretty bummed I didn't get to 14. But I decided to try this morning to squeeze in one more. Excuse the sore throat vocal performance and the one take only guitar, bass and drum tracks. They aren't locked in rhythmically but I couldn't be bothered to fix it or do other takes with the way I was feeling. Drums recorded in one take with the rest of the instruments already done and not on the grid & recorded on phone voice memo too so... take it easy on me in the comments, ha.

Song lyrics are about the morning experience I observed.

Lyrics

The days begun Sparkles in my window Birds chirping Helping plants to bloom

The quiet air Temperature is rising Plants stretch to meet the sun Moon it ducks away

Stars fall behind Rainbow coloured sunrise Wake with another day New challenges await

Grateful for the day We were the ones to wake Wish for another one But we never know

You're the one that rose today The universe woke you up and said you're here to say Seize this opportunity and don't let it pass by Treat others with kindness, you'll never know whens the next time you'll see them Live each day to the fullest Breathe the air Let each breath sink you into the present moment Prey to see the day you will rise again

Man I love to hear the variety of your songs, I'm glad I'm not the only one who is all over the place. I don't think this is that rough actually, your guitar playing is always sooo tight, and your spoken word bit is actually so cool, I love that register. It makes me wonder if you have a lower range to your singing voice I haven't heard much of either?

yeah I have a bad bad habit of writing songs that are not in my ideal range for my voice.. been thinking of getting solo acoustic gigs here in town and ditching the band thing so I can get exposed to changing keys of cover songs in an effort to get more familiar with my voice. I recently in the last year and a half expanded my vocal range to 3 octaves (+ a 4th) but I can't quite produce the sound in a colourful way yet nor can I move flawlessly in the break from chest to head voice
