2025: 19 years since I first joined this wacky community. I've been few and far between, these past couple years – pretty thin on the ground, one might say – but I am hoping to crank out a couple new songs this February and say hi to some old pals. So... hi!
Pronouns: I don't really care, but you can use she/her or they/them if you do.
(And if you use Last.fm, feel free to add me there – I'm a huge nerd for that site and love discovering new music by stalking my friends' listening habits.)

I've been writing songs since I was about eight, and have hundreds of them by now, almost three decades later. I've been doing FAWM (more or less) every year since 2006, and wrote twenty-eight songs my first year instead of fourteen.
And right now, on the cusp of my umpteenth FAWM, I have no idea how to write a song.
This is nothing new. I feel this way every time I finish a song. I feel this way at every moment when I'm not actively writing a song. And honestly, if I stopped to think about it, I would probably even feel this way WHILE I'm writing a song.
Every time, I'm starting from scratch. Every time, I'm back to square one. With every song I manage to achieve, I'm reinventing the wheel. Reinventing the will.
But where there's a will, there's a way. And somehow, the songs keep happening.
Welcome (back), friends and FAWMers!
