It sounds like stents and surgery are off the table. I hope he recovers, even if it seems slow, and can get back to feeling better. Are you going to play this one for him? Good use of the skirmish prompt, even if it was mainly for distraction from a sad situation.

He just got an LVAD put in so he's recovering. It's not what he wanted but he was all out of good options. Hopefully he'll be out of the hospital and adjusting to his new normal in a week or two

Six years ago, my MIL had a serious heart attack at Christmas, of all times, but she pulled through. After that, for the rest of her life, we had a scare every few months with her arrhythmic ticker. But she hung on in there and defied several doctors' gloomy prognostics.

She died last month, at 86, but not from a heart related illness. So your Dad could be around for a while yet, I hope!

He didn't have a heart attack but heart failure. It's just very very weak. He just had major surgery and he's not having a lot of great days. Hopefully there will be lots of great days ahead, though, once he's recovered
