I started writing about Olympians whose had social and psychological issues after winning, but that didn't feel right. Then I remembered Bullet Bob ('64 Olympics, recruited by the Dallas Cowboys on the basis of his speed, and is the only NFL player with an Olympic medal (I'm told - need to verify!) He had an awesome post-Olympic career, and yet is now forgotten. It took a long time for him to get into the Hall of Fame in Canton. Anyway, the song morphed into a valedictory speech to medal winners with the hope they'll glitter even past the gold.
