Liner Notes

This experience was riveting! Thank you for this prompt!! At 1 minute after the hour I quickly glanced at the skirmish topic, not intending to do it because I'm working on something else. How did you know that all week I've been thinking "I should try writing a fugue?" :-)

When I first saw the piano music for Ludus Tonalis (Paul Hindemith) I was blown away that if I turned the score upsidedown and started from the other end the last movement was exactly the same as the first movement.

Here's what I came up with (4 measure flips; finishing 2 minutes before the hour, woo hoo!)

Lovely fugue - I love how you express so much with so few keys - makes me want to go sit down at the piano.

Clever... 'Nuff said!

Yes, thanks for the heads up. A short piece but a pleasure to listen to and great skirmishing!

That’s a big idea, and impressive to arrive at a result in a skirmish. I had to listen twice to double-check! Without the heads-up, I never would have caught on.
