Chapter 1: The Removal
Liner Notes
HMorg: After my fiancée @ciiili had a taste of (recorded) growling a couple weeks ago, we decided to write a whole song together. I came up with the music and helped with vocal patterns, she wrote the lyrics and performed all the vocals. ciiili requested something in the style of Chimaira and Slipknot, so I tried to do something like that. #metal #nu-metal #fullproduction #noai
EDIT: Demo replaced with an updated mix.
ciili: So yeah, things happened and I finally was set free from my shyness and decided it’s time to test out my growling vocals I’ve been (self)learning for some time now. And since Mr. HMorg is already a metal musician he was there to encourage me. I wrote the lyrics in one sitting and decided it would be ”fun” to make a song about some sort of revenge from the killer’s perspective. Overall making this song was a therapeutic process for me and I enjoyed every second of it. And I giggled like a little girl when the vocals were done! So, yay!
Lyrics
I hope you choke On these blades That cut me Night and day To those empty words That led me astray
Let those lungs fill up With the poison you are Deep from the core The endless black tar
I wanna see the panic in your eyes Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
That cold heart of yours Belongs to me I'll rip it out of your chest For everyone to see
Let those lungs fill up With the poison you are Deep from the core The endless black tar
The final day has come You can scream all you want But that cold heart of yours Belongs to me, I'll make it bleed One last time Bleed One last time
Comments
I really like it that the vocals are much more brutal and raw than in your usual nu metal song. The riffs groove properly, and the lyrics are great. Good job!
Yay! Glad you liked it 🫶🏻
Well, the nu metal is debatable, it's there mainly because of the bands I was trying to channel. Ended up channeling a whole lot more, I think. Anyway, thanks for the kind words, friend!
Awesome. Plug in, wind those amps up, fasten your seatbelts, and off we go! So much fun. The bridge in particular really lands. Great collab, folks!
Oh wow I did not know @ciiili vocals are soooooo brutal. Wow, that rips! I hope ther are some more chapters, because the lyrics also hit hard.
