I'm Right

Liner Notes

This is a song about being stubborn in the face of overwhelming evidence that you're the problem. I found that my Behringer foot switch can control the Beatstep Pro, so I'm no longer limited by only being able to chain 16 sequences together. It's why you see me constantly tapping on something out of sight, I'm switching sequences. It made me so happy to find this out as I was getting frustrated by having to change songs to fit the sequencer. My wife didn't understand my joy :).

Lyrics

Well I came by the wine bar And I drank too much vodka It’s not the way that you want me to be

Took a trip didn’t get far Lost some money, and a cheap car Called you late from the side of the road

But I know I’m right I will take you out tonight You can save my life Let’s forget what sparked the fight

There’s a chance that I slipped up I’ll admit I got a bit drunk I’d explain if you’d talk to me

Loving the setup here, guitar over lofi synth is what I aim for when I play live so I'm enjoying hearing a different take on a similar thing! Works really well with that dark growly bass.

Chill but melancholy. Sorry but understanding. That low synth arpeggio/drone thing is cool.

A sorry tale, but really nicely told. Like the chorus a lot, the growly synth bass and that low-fi synth melody line is an excellent addition. Very cool.

The combination of burbly synth and a nicely gritty guitar are just the sort of backing this song needs. This is a great AITA song, and the listener is, of course, always gonna tell the protagonist that they are.

There are those of us here who understand your joy; you're among friends here ;-)

I’m glad it’s not just me :)
