I did all of this today. I woke up with this melody, the first line in my head, and the instructions to make an acapella song. I will not lick boots but I will do what the song tells me to do. I haven't done one of these in a while. This was so fun!

I followed the lead of that first line and let it take me on a ride. The first verse flowed easily. The chorus was also waiting in the air for me to find it.

The second verse took a bit of work. Once I had the guy/abide lines I realized, "Oh wow this is sort of a song about The Dude." I didn't want it to be a dissertation on The Dude but I liked the idealistic and calm energy in the lyrics. #acapella #vocals #harmonies #folk #protest #thedude
