Bad haircut

Liner Notes
SARAH: Inspired by true events, this song shares the pain of one of the most horrendous things that can happen to any 13yo. This one is collaboration with the big sis Janet who sings those sweet harmonies and most importantly provided the inspiration in the form of he who shall not be named.
Lyrics
I hate it man, it’s just not my style I said you can take an inch, he took a country mile Its way too short and its deeply uncool This has “ruined my life” “I’m not going to school”
I’ve had a bad haircut I’m never gonna leave this house again It isn’t fair that everything was fine but now its pain I’ve had a bad haircut My beanie will be on for the foreseeable The kids will stare at me so I’m staying home And keeping to myself… with my terrible hair
I look weird, you can see the top of my ears I said a trim, but he took out the shears I wanted to keep it long, how hard can it be Just to take a minute, and just listen to me
I feel so sad, I’ve even shed a tear It’ll take some time to get used to this idea I think I’ll eat some food and maybe play a video game Avoid the mirror until it grows back again
A bad haircut can be devastating, especially to a teen. I'm glad you wrote a song about it. Inspiration can come from anywhere, including pain and suffering. Enjoy the harmonies. The guitar and vocals are smooth and sweet. Well done!
