The Emotions of Grief
Skirmish: Distinctly Human* (@zinnithequeen)Liner Notes
Thank you for the prompt. I'm sure it will lead to many interesting songs, hopefully happy ones. Unfortunately the prompt took me to the sad direction. As far as I know, machines don't experience grief, at least not in the way humans do. This emotion is very unique and each of us experiences it differently. I decided for myself that I need to learn how to live with my grieving experiences because I don't think grief is going to go anywhere. But creating music about it can help in some ways. However, if you don't feel like listening to a sad music, please run away before it starts. Thank you to songwriters who didn't run :) Thank you for listening and commenting, Please let me know if you would like to collaborate with me on this music.

Thank you, David. My music is communicate grief but doesn't invite people to feel down. Rather, expressing what is inside us, helps us better than any sharing with someone who might indeed feel upset. So, I guess I look at the positive effects of sad music and I share your views on sad music being cathartic
Thats a Lovely take on the skirmish. I agree creating music around grief is good to Ease ut up. I hope you are ok.
Thank you Maddie. Expressing sadness in music and lyrics helps me being ok :)
What makes us human, for me, is that we make music. You're 100% human by that measure!
The piece IS sad, but there is a glimmer of hope in there too. I hear remembrances also and the changes in rhythm underscore how grief comes in waves. ππ½ππ½ππ½
"Sad Piano" has become such a thoughtless trope in film and TV, so it's extra impressive that you've managed to avoid clichΓ© and improvise a genuinely moving piece like this.
I think you've nailed the concept of the skirmish and reflected it in the music itself. Really nice work
This is gloriously sad. I felt all the stages of grief in this, plus a deep longing to say goodbye, just one more time.
Wow! perfect name for this somber, sad music. Well done! it captures the feeling for sure.
The prompt took you in a distinctly human direction :) This piece has the same effect on me as many of my favourite pieces of classical music, in that you can close your eyes and let it take you where it wants to take you. I actually find sad music - when it's also this beautiful - strangely cathartic and uplifting. I always thought that was a bit odd, but I've swapped messages with many on here who seem to feel the same. Thank you for sharing this one, Nadia. It's sad and communicates grief, but it doesn't necessarily leave the listener completely forlorn and lost.
