Lyrics

Lyrics : @chrismyth02

An existential problem Lies buried in my head It’s the infernal calling Where men have feared to tred

The arbiter of autumn Dealt me a grim defeat And everyone who saw it Well they were moved to weep

The earth was undone In the end

You are not my problem Clear away from me You are not my problem Never meant to be

In the grand disaster In the surging waves There’s a stirring current Dragging you away

An existential problem Lies buried in my head Call forth the holy golem To lay my fears to rest

I have been faithful to the end of the earth What’s that worth? I have been faithful to the end of the earth What’s that worth?

You are not my problem Clear away from me You are not my problem Never meant to be

In the grand disaster In the surging waves There’s a stirring current Dragging you away

Sounds absolutely class lads! Well done, and thanks for turning this in to a banger of a track!! @markfulwider and thanks to you for keeping everything organised & on-track (pun intended) and full of enthusiasm!

So glad you enjoyed the end result! Thanks for starting us off so well! Super fun! Great bunch of guys!

Holy bluesy power metal! There are some intricate moments in this that seem like they would be incredibly challenging to pull off in this format. Epic production, fantastic instrumentation from everyone, those power vocals and that bridge is just brilliant. I'm deeply impressed!

So glad you enjoyed it my friend! A lot of great ideas from the Group 12 Digital 4 track team! Suffice it to say there is WAY more than the 5 tracks going on here! I am a production guy and so tend to add whatever I think a song needs to elevate it as high as I am able. I think there are like 20 tracks of guitar, synths, special effects added on top of the BASS, GUITAR, DRUMS and VOCALS from the others on the team in addition to a ton of tape delay automation, reverb, compression and other effects as needed. So yeah, way more than a strictly 5 track song, but man is it cool! Hahaha! And what fun!

Nobody could have guessed that this sng started with the bass, because the groove of the rhythm track is so tight. I also enjoy how the vocals play with the phrasing, especially in the bridge and chorus. Now I'm curious what Mark added.

Yeah, I was pretty excited when I heard @moggzy bass track to start us off. I thought "this guy must know production" by the way he played and didn't play in certain spots in his initial idea! Such fun to see it progress on to @bigb awesome rhythm guitar bed which you hear very clearly in the beginning of the song right in sync with the bass, then @mrsqueeze added a really nice drum track on top of all that. The icing on the cake was @chrismyth02 amazing lyrics and vocals. What did Mark add you ask? A LOT! Synths, Special Effects, a bunch of additional guitar. What fun this one was! So glad you enjoyed it!

I heard a lot of ear candy and was not sure who did what. And its definitely not 5 tracks, not even 8 if you double tracked xD anyways sounds great!

[pic]

Yeah, probably more like 24 tracks or so altogether and a bunch of production elements. Such fun though! Many blessings!

Amazing how this came together. There's a lot going on -- it feels very busy between the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals all being very active (particularly during the chorus), but it all works together in a cohesive, exciting way. Great heavy, energetic sound. The lyrics and vocals work really well with the rhythms of the song.

So glad you enjoyed the energy of the song! Group 12 was such a fun group to work with! So glad I was able to be a part! Yes, @chrismyth02 lyrics and vocals were the icing on the cake for sure!
