Very good write dude! Tells a great story and nails some of the intricacies and nuances of life…spite is cool.

Haha - one should never underestimate pure spite as a motivational force. This is full of some really clever movie references. I love it! I know the legend (sadly, that's all it is) well, although I'll leave that for others to discover.

This is creative and clever and it’s a great subject for a song. The title phrase was slightly familiar, but I confess I had to look it up, but then I remembered it’s an old folk tale about something. Neil Armstrong supposedly said (though he didn’t, it’s still a great story.) anyway, great job on the lyric.!
