No Rest for the Wicked
by @andricent
Liner Notes
It’s about our current political climate and the horrors that have been unleashed. I know that one day, we will reach other side of this, we will reach the light at the end of tue tunnel. But, when that happens, evil must be held accountable. It cannot be forgotten, it cannot be forgiven, we cannot let these demons be acquitted.
"When you get to your little place on Nantucket Island, I 'magine you're gonna take off that handsome-lookin' S.S. uniform of yours, ain'tcha?... That's what I thought. Now that I can't abide... So, I'm 'onna give you a little somethin' you can't take off." — Lt. Aldo Raine
Originally wrote this as a #beat based #postpunk song, which it can still be in the future, but I decided to record a more somber #acoustic #folk version.

Lyrics
Our world is getting crazier out there Jackbooted thugs marching down my street How much more can we stand to bear? Jackbooted thugs serve the Elites
No rest for the wicked Not today, Not tomorrow They can’t be acquitted, Not today, not tomorrow
All our lives we’ve been deceived By cabals corrupting our peace Now we know what we received Evil messages as pre-teens
No rest for the wicked Not today, Not tomorrow They can’t be acquitted, Not today, not tomorrow
There’s a fight ahead of us And a mountain we must climb See the light ahead of us We will get there, in due time
When it’s all said and done And the good wins in the end the demons put before the gun And our Hell the people will mend
No rest for the wicked Not today, Not tomorrow They can’t be acquitted, Not today, not tomorrow
Not today, Not tomorrow Not today, not tomorrow Not today, Not tomorrow Not today, not tomorrow

Such a wonderful sounding song for our Crazy Times. The acoustic guitar and your voice soar and hopefully we will climb that mountain and regain empathy and some normalcy again. Hopefully Tomorrow!
Oh, this works really well as an acoustic piece! Really lovely playing, and a powerful message here.
