These are awesome lyrics Jeff! Thanks for the reminder about why I am glad I haven't been single in 20+ years. This a great take on the phrase "Permanent Address". Cool melodies, and I dig the piano work...props to that player! I will hopefully have my counterpart soon...

This has a great lyric with lots of lines/passages I love. One early favorite:

I also think the piano is a charming instrument to underscore your light and sweet melody. Your vocal performance has a soft touch, too, but the humor doesn't get lost. Really fun, modern piece.

Beautiful piano from the get go, and then you crack me right up with the truth bombs about the horrors of the dating scene. F-bombs appropriately placed! The storytelling about grandma and grandpa is a great touch - why can’t we meet our mate at camp anymore?!

Thank you, Caitlin, for your lovely comments, especially from an accomplished keyboardist mentioning the piano work. I must confess, I can’t play. I use Logic Pro Session Keyboardist and spend hours cutting and pasting, adjusting patterns and intensity and complexity/simplicity, and editing single notes, till it finally sounds like I’m sitting behind a keyboard playing the song. Since I was very young, I’ve always dreamed of sitting at a piano playing my songs, but was never able to make that happen. At 71, to finally have a small semblance of that feeling is truly joyous. Thanks for listening.
