#badsongclub #prompt was "Ode to the penny." I came up with a song about a girl named Penny who was the landlord's daughter. I actually wrote this in the parking lot at work in about 6 minutes. Came home and overproduced the hell out of it.
Lyrics
Penny was a pretty thing. Sexiest girl I'd ever seen. I had just turned 18. She was nine years older than me.
(CHORUS) Penny, Penny! I'll never forget the night we had. We drank a bit and broke the bed. Come take advantage of me again.
I rented a house from her dad She came by to collect the rent. She was tall, Had pretty feet Then she went and bought beer for me. (CHORUS)
I wonder if her dad found out? I'm pretty sure her brother did. If he knew, what would he do? But I never got evicted. (CHORUS)

I wanted trumpet in this song so bad! (Referring to your photo). It's mostly a true story and it was very, very fun. Thanks for the flattering comments. I plan to rework it and releasing it to the world one day. But you're welcome to download this version if you wish
Hunh. I guess she did that with all of us! Well done. The klaxon was truly inspired
"Came home and overproduced the hell out of it."....haha story of my musical life. An air horn AND a steel drum solo, omg I can't get enough of this. The chorus is so damn catchy. Lyrics are hilarious. Great listen
