Every now and then, FAWM inspires me to learn more about Greek mythology. This time I came across the sad tale of the Siren Parthenope, who threw herself into the sea after her song failed to draw near men like Odysseus and even Orpheus himself (who actually played foul by drowning out her singing with his own mighty music). I tried to give the story a different twist by adding the perspective of the Sea herself. May Parthenope have found peace!
