Better late than never :)

I co-wrote this song with my dear friend Garrison Ulrich last night. We'd just gotten done performing in Dallas and we wanted to make some magic before we both had to fly home. I'm just over the moon about the result. We'll produce this for real soon, but this is my quick take that I did after making it home today. I'll update the demo once we have a final.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a mortal at the end of their life who was in a relationship with an immortal? That was the concept we ran with. Enjoy!

Joooosh you're going to make me cry omg. This is super duper amazingly gorgeous. That gentle, insistent fingerpicking under your voice (which as always is stunning) is the heartbeat of this song, just like the heart mentioned in the lyrics. I don't know if that was intentional but if it was, BRILLIANT and if not, BRILLIANT. Just wow. This is amazing.

Wow this is such a good song concept I knew I was in for a treat! The idea about the heart stopping on its own when it’s ready stopped me in my tracks, I feel like you never hear about a heart stopping in a way that sounds that natural. I also love how you give this guitar part so much space to breathe, and the harmonies!!!

What a cool concept for a song! The guitar/bass all straight rhythm is almost like the heartbeat of the mortal. Lovely duet vocals! Great production over all, especially for one somewhat done on the run! I like the chord shift at “cadence”, I’m sure that was intentional with the lyric. Loved this listen, A++

That guitar riff is very hypnotic, like Jacob says below. Yet the vocal floats around its presence effortlessly. It puts me on edge a bit, which i should be with this topic. Then the melody and harms in the chorus provides an utter satisfaction and a will to sing along with all my might.

Magical. The hypnotic lead line with the soft steady beat underneath hits just right. Lovely melody. Fits the concept so well, I feel like this is a movie title track. That big chorus at the end is wonderful. Great start already on this. Ace stuff, Josh and Garrison!
